Presented by the 77th New York Regimental Balladeers, “Johnny Has Gone For A Soldier 1776-1976″ is a music and film tribute honoring all who served. Experience America’s wartime story through song, still images, film, verse and several sing-a-long segments. Through music, Americans on the home front supported those in uniform and contributed to the war effort. This special concert in honor of the “Citizen Soldier” is a music timeline that harkens back to the era of the fiddle and banjo, concert hall productions, and radio broadcasts. The historic Grant Cottage porch is the perfect location to honor all who have served. The 77th New York Regimental Balladeers are celebrating their 20th year and over 450 concert performances. This heralded music troupe has been recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Gettysburg National Military Park for their outstanding portrayal.
